Personal Profile

Dan D. Kunle has over thirty five years experience in Project and Business Investment Services, Corporate Restructuring & Management, Acquisitions & Mergers, Procurement and Logistic Management .

Dan D. Kunle started his career in 1982 in a private business consultancy practice working on several industrial projects across Nigeria with major institutional investors and promoters including the Bank of Industry, First Bank of Nigeria, World Bank Agricultural Development Project.

In 1999 Dan D. Kunle joined the Administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo as Assistant to the Minister of Police Affairs and later served as one of the Assistant to the Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce before proceeding to the Nigerian privatisation Agency, Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE)in 2003.

Between 2003 and 2007 he was one of the Special Advisers to the Director General of the BPE. During this period, he served as a Member of the Management Committee with involvement in the privatisation and divestment of all the Federal Government Enterprises slated for privatisation with full attendance of all meetings of the National Council on Privatisation (NCP).

 

While at the BPE, Dan D. Kunle was a Member of the following Federal Government Boards:-
  • Sheraton Hotels
  • National Truck Manufacturing Company, Kano
  • Federal Superphosphate Fertiliser Company, Kaduna
  • Nigeria Airways Liquidation Committee of Inspection appointed by the Federal High Court
  • Savannah Sugar Company Transitional Board, Numan
  • Presidential Implementation Committee on Alienated Federal Government Properties
He also served as an Observer on Federal Government Technical Boards including Nigeria Port Authority, NITEL, NEPA/PHCN, Eleme Petrochemical Company, Oil & Gas Implementation Committee (OGIC), Benue Cement Company( Dangote Cement), NICON Insurance, Nigerian Security and Printing Company, NAFCON, Delta Steel, Ajaokuta Steel Company, Nigerian Mining Corporation and Nigerian Coal Corporation. Dan D. Kunle was involved in the Economic Reform Implementation across all sectors of the Nigerian economy including Energy& Power, Telecommunications, Housing, Railways, Aviation, Port and Maritime Services. From 2007 to 2009 was the Senior Technical Adviser to the Minister of Energy, Gas during which the Nigerian Gas Masterplan was developed. He also worked on other gas related projects including Brass LNG, OK LNG, Bonny LNG Trains 6 and 7 plus as well as the West African Gas Pipeline delivering gas to Benin, Togo and Ghana. Since 2012, Dan D. Kunle has been Adviser on the several corporate acquisition projects including the acquisition of oil blocks in Nigeria and the acquisition of electricity generation plants. More recently he has been working on the acquisition and divestment of several telecommunication companies in Nigeria and has also been advising on the Mambilla Hydro-Electric Power Project in Taraba State. Dan D. Kunle is Business Adviser to several companies in the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream Oil and Gas Sector in Nigeria . He also serves as Business Adviser to the Nigerian Maritime and Seas Port Industry. He works closely with a leading Maritime Consulting Group based in the Netherlands on strategic seaport projects in Nigeria and West Africa and is also active in the promotion of a major Bauxite and Aluminum Investment Project in Guinea Conakry. He is also involved in the organizational restructuring of a Federal Government Parastatal in the oil and gas sector.
